In addition to Gefle IF, 3 other teams played in Boys 17.
Gefle IF continued to Slutspel A after reaching 2:nd place in Group A. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against IFK Östersund with 0-4. In the Final, IFK Östersund won over Bergs IK and became the winner of Slutspel A in Boys 17.
Gefle comes from Gävle which lies approximately 300 km from Östersund, where Storsjöcupen takes place. The area around Gävle does also provide two additional clubs participating during Storsjöcupen 2024 (IK Sätra and Strömsbro IF).
