In addition to Strömsbro IF, 9 other teams played in Girls 16. They were divided into 2 different groups, whereof Strömsbro IF could be found in Group B together with Remyra IL / Tangmoen, Kolvereid, Orkla FK and Ope IF.
Strömsbro IF made it to Slutspel A after reaching 2:nd place in Group B. Once in the playoff they won every match inluding the Final against Lånke IL, which they won with 3-0. Thereby Strömsbro IF won the entire Slutspel A in Girls 16 during Storsjöcupen 2024.
Strömsbro comes from Gävle which lies approximately 300 km from Östersund, where Storsjöcupen takes place. The area around Gävle does also provide two additional clubs participating during Storsjöcupen 2024 (Gefle IF and IK Sätra).
