In addition to the two Verdal teams, 63 other teams from 4 different countries played in Boys 12 . They were divided into 16 different groups, whereof Verdal IL 1 could be found in Group L together with Hitra FK, Stjördals Blink 1 and Östersunds FK.

Verdal IL 1 continued to Slutspel A after reaching 2:nd place in Group L. In the playoff they made it to 1/16 Final, but lost it against Beitstad FK with 0-11. In the Final, Stjördals Blink 1 won over IFK Östersund and became the winner of Slutspel A in Boys 12 .

Verdal IL also participated in Pojkar 11 T during Storsjöcupen 2023. They won Slutspel B, after beating Ope IF 1 in the final with 6-5.
