In addition to Röros, 9 other teams played in Girls 16. They were divided into 2 different groups, whereof Röros could be found in Group A together with IL Varden, Ranheim IL, Frösö IF and Lånke IL.
Röros continued to Slutspel A after reaching 1:st place in Group A. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Strömsbro IF with 0-2. In the Final, Strömsbro IF won over Lånke IL and became the winner of Slutspel A in Girls 16.
Röros comes from Røros which lies approximately 180 km from Östersund, where Storsjöcupen takes place. Other than Röros, the club Röros IL does also originate from the area around Røros.
